German Beauty - Audi R8 GT

 

A german beauty coming from the Volswagen group. The Audi comes in two varaiants the V8 and the V10 however Audi has decided to make a more powerful version on par with the Lamborghini and sharing the same engine. The R8 GT produces 552hp and sheds 220 pounds from the standard R8 version. The car is limited to only 333 units; it has got an horsepower bump of 23 and 7lb-ft of torque considering it weighs lighter than standard car.

The weight loss of the car came from carbon fibre is used in the rear bumper,side blades and interior doors and the glass window has been replaced with polycarbonate.The car sprints from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and each run varies slightly.There is a new rear wing attached to the back of the car for this GT version alone.The seats are also made of carbon fibre to save weight.The Audi R8GT will cost $255,000 which includes the 465-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system and the sport alcantara interior.For racing enthusiasts there will be also a full roll cage to increase rigidity in corners and safety of driver all done through the bolt in bar placed inside the car.By now as we write most car expected to be sold out.For the same price one could get a Lamborghini Gallardo or a Ferrari italia but sometimes brand loyalty will encourage customers to make quick decisons on their purchase. Track lovers and daily comuters are epected to enjoy the ride in the R8GT as it is friendly to drive on highway and sporty on race tracks.
